I use the product for work, and when I am out on the town. I love how the product starts with the top notes of Pink Pepper, Red Fruits. Then ends with the bottom notes Patchouli, Amber. I love the original Gucci Guilty. I love the Gucci Guilty Black as well. There is no room for improvement. Gucci got this fragrance right the first time.

This is my first love from Amouage! It helps to be bold to wear this...it definitely is unusual. I think it's best suited to cooler weather and evening wear, but really would be fine any time and any time of year. It has elements of the outdoors, of a spice shop, sweetness...for myself and my husband, it really is intoxicating. Lasts many hours and the drydown is lovely, more of the sweet wood and I believe Frankincense. The opening makes me feel as if I'm in the woods of my childhood, with all things deep, fresh, and growing (though not floral), with the bergamot and orange blossom coming through. It is horribly expensive, but after several months' consideration I decided it's worth it. I also love Interlude Man, though it has a stronger spice shop scent and is definitely stronger...and some of my female friends really dislike it on me (husband loves it, though).

Comments about Diptyque LEau Diptyque, 1.7 oz Eau de Toilette Spray:

This is a nice fragrance: spicy, comforting, warm. It's not powdery or overly sweet. This is not what I'd call a vanilla-y oriental scent; it smells like spices, very heady and rich upon application. If you like your perfumes to have sillage, you'll be happy with this for the first hour. If you like a sharp, bright oriental scent...what I think of as the kind of perfume that older women wear, with a bit of a blast of floral...you'll be better off with Eau Lente, which has a healthy dose of opoponax, and thus feels more "perfume-y." If you want spice, but not sweet, L'Eau is likely to be what you're looking for. There's a reason this scent is still around after 40+ years...it just smells good.
