Beauty Encounter Partners the Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
Online beauty company will donate $5,000 to support breast cancer awareness in local community
Huntington Beach, Calif. (October 5, 2009)- In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Beauty Encounter (www.beautyencounter.com), the e-tailer featuring all things beauty and specializing in hard-to-find niche products, and Komen Orange County Affiliate are pleased to announce a partnership to raise awareness and support for women diagnosed with breast cancer in Orange County, Calif.

Beauty Encounter will dedicate $5,000 of its sales from the month of October to the Komen Orange County Affiliate. Customers are encouraged to “Shop for a Cure” all month long to contribute to the donation. This is the first year the beauty e-tailer will be partnering with the Affiliate.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of breast cancer research and prevention. The organization has raised more than $1 billion since its inception in 1982. Events such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and generous contributions from partners, sponsors and supporters have made the organization the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

Online beauty company builds marketing team to drive strategic sales and enhance customer experience

She will be a frequent contributor to the company’s blog, Behind the Counter, and also further develop BeautyEncounter.com’s social media efforts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
