This is a classic "eau de cologne" scent of citrus and wood and works very well as a refreshing aftershave splash. Great for the summer and the scent fades relatively quickly so it does not interfere with your SOTD. It's been around forever and there's a good reason why. The scent is more complex than you may expect.

I think the fragrance of the 4711 is fantastic! It's a sweet, almost piney smell, but yet not piney at all. I think this s a great spring and summer fragrance, but can be all year round. I love the bottle and box. they are keepsakes.

This is a fantastic fragrance which is highly versatile. You can splash it on during hot weather to cool your skin with a lovely scent; you can use as an everyday, casual fragrance; you can splash it on after bathing to provide additional freshness; or, you can spray it on your bedding at night to lightly scent your sheets for rest. I love 4711 and used to buy many of their products while living in Europe and especially visiting Germany. If your preference is citrusy, fresh scents, THIS is one you simply must try!
