Why are you selling samples and miniatures that say "Not for Sale"?
We sell a large selection of fragrance sample vials and miniature collectibles.
Department stores may offer these samples or miniatures as freebies or gifts with
purchase; however, we do purchase these items in bulk from our suppliers due to
high demands from our customers. These sample and miniature sizes are a great way
to test a fragrances before you invest in a larger size. These sample and miniature
sizes are also great for travel. Miniature bottles are also widely collected.
Why are the UPC Codes or Serial Numbers missing?
Some discounted products sold may have the UPC codes or serial numbers removed or
defaced from the outer packaging or the product. This may have occurred in the supply
chain after it left the manufacturer. Neither Beauty Encounter nor the Manufacturer
alter the products or outer packaging.

How do I track my order?
For your convenience, we will automatically send you updates regarding the status
of your order via email. To track your order online, click here . You will be asked to enter your
order number and email address or billing telephone number.
If you are a registered BE customer, you can always check your order status history.

How do I modify/cancel my order?
You can make changes or cancel your order within 1 hour from the time you submit
your order. You may do so by contacting our Customer Care during business hours Monday
– Friday 9am – 5pm PST/PDT or by email at
email@example.com. Order changes include cancellation requests,
address changes, shipping upgrades or adding/removing items from your order. After
1 hour has passed, your order will be locked and can no longer be modified. We will
send you an email to confirm any changes or cancellation request.

Why is my order partially shipped?
To expedite your shipment, all in-stock item(s) are shipped first. We will notify
you when an item is not available to ship and advise you.
How long does it take until I receive my order?
Depending on the shipping method you select, all orders should arrive by the estimated
delivery date indicated in our Shipping Methodssection.
Allow 1-2 business days for processing time. All orders are subject to credit card
verification and stock availability. Expedited shipments must be placed before 1:00
pm PST/PDT in order to be processed on the same business day. Please note that Expedited

Do you charge sales tax?

Do you gift wrap?

How do I return/exchange my order?
Most item(s) may be returned for a refund within fourteen (14) days of receipt of
merchandise with an approved Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and if returned

What is the difference between Eau de Toilette and Eau
Perfume is composed of natural or synthetic fragrant oil extracts diluted in water
and high-grade alcohol. The composition of these oil extracts determines the concentration
or "strength" of the fragrance and the lasting power of the scent. Below are the
different fragrance levels:
Eau de Cologne – least concentrated (fragrance lasts up to 1 hour)
Eau de Toilette – concentrated (fragrance lasts up to 2 hours)
Eau de Parfum – concentrated (fragrance lasts up to 3-4 hours)
Perfume or Parfum Classic – most concentrated (fragrance lasts up to 5-6 hours)
What is a Shared or Unisex Fragrance?
Shared and unisex fragrances can be worn by both men and women.
How come this fragrance does not last on me?
Fragrance lasts longer on some people than on others because of differences in our
skin (oily or dry) and in our PH levels. People with dry skin usually find their
fragrance holding time shorter than those with oily skin because oily skin has more
natural moisture to hold in the fragrance.
PH levels (amount of acidity in our skin) also vary slightly from person to person.
Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will
How can I make this fragrance last longer on me?
To achieve a longer effect try layering your fragrance by using the fragrance bath
gel (if the company offers one), then the moisturizer or powder, and then the Eau
de Toilette, Eau de Parfum or Eau de Cologne. This will create longer-lasting effect.
Apply your fragrance low on the body, as well as behind your ears and on your neck,
so that the scent rises and you won't lose it as quickly. A light spray on the hair
can last all day.
How do I preserve my fragrance?
Keep all fragrance in a cool, dry area and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance
the various ingredients. An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a
longer shelf life.
What are fragrance notes?
A fragrance is comprised of different scents also referred to as "notes." There
are three levels of notes: Top, Middle and Base or Bottom notes. Top notes are very
light and are the initial scents that you smell. Top notes last up to 5-10 minutes.
Middle notes become apparent within 15 minutes after application. These can last
up to an hour or more. Finally, the Base or Bottom notes are the heavier ingredients.
These scents typically last the longest, and will linger for several hours.

for the item that you’re searching for in the Search box located in the top navigation
of the site.
Search by brand – Click on the "shop by brand" link in the top navigation to shop
our complete list of over 1,100 brands.
Search by category/department – Shop by category or department by clicking on any
category or subcategory in the drop down menus of the top navigation bar. You can
further narrow down your selection by using the filters the left navigation and
drop downs for the page, but keep in mind that the results will be fewer as you
select more options.

What should I do?
BeautyEncounter.com stocks over 40,000 items and adds new items daily. We also specialize

How do I discontinue My BE Perks account?
To discontinue you’re My BE Perks account, provide notice via email to Customer Care.
All accrued BE Points and BE Perks will be forfeited at that time.
Cancellation may take up to 48 hours.
Why am I receiving email communications regarding My BE Perks?
If you are enrolled in My BE Perks at BeautyEncounter.com,
we will send email communications regarding the status of your My BE Perks balance.

How do I earn BE Points?
Create a My BE Account
You must create a My BE Account.
Once you create an account, you will automatically get 250 BE Points just for joining! If you already have a My BE Account, 250 BE Points should have been automatically posted to your account at the start of the program, October 01, 2012.
Purchase Qualifying Products
You must login to your account when you make a purchase.
For every purchase made, you will earn 1 BE Point for every dollar spent on the total amount spent on products (not valid on discounts from promotional codes).

Are there any restrictions on what earns BE Points?
There are certain actions that will not be valid for BE Point earning such as:
order adjustments, cancelled orders, replacement orders, returns, shipping and handling, surcharges, gift services, sales tax, store services, prior purchases, purchases made with an E-Coupon, purchases made with E-Gift Certificates, purchases made with Store Credit,
discounts from promotional codes, or checking out as a guest.
What is the difference between “Pending” BE Points and “Earned” BE Points?
Earned BE Points will post to your account after 30 days of the ship date for domestic US shipments and 45 days for international shipments.
Points will be considered “Pending” prior to the 30 day requirement for domestic US shipments and 45 days for international shipments.
Only Earned BE Points (Available BE Points) count towards My BE Perks rewards.
When do BE Points get posted as Earned in My BE Perks?
After the pending period of 30 days from ship date for domestic US shipments and after 45 days from ship date for international shipments.
Where can I see My BE Points balance?
Your BE Points will be posted in your account under My BE Perks.

How do I join My BE Perks if I do not have an email address?
You must have a valid email address to enroll in My BE Perks.
Can my friends and family share my My BE Perks account?
No, My BE Perks are not transferable.
Why has my “Available BE Points” balance decreased?
There are a couple of reasons you may see your “Available BE Points” balance decrease.
Your BE Points expire two (2) years from the day your My BE Account is last active.
A My BE Account is considered “active” if there has been at least 1 order placed or qualifying activity that has constituted in earning BE Points.
Therefore, if your My BE Account is considered “inactive” your Available BE Points will be forfeited.
If your Account Balance was over 1,000 BE Points, you may have redeemed a BE Perks reward.
In this case, you will see your “Available BE Points” balance decrease by 1,000 BE Points or more depending on your BE Perks reward redeemed which will be updated to “Redeemed BE Points”.
What should I do if I think there’s an error in My BE Perks account?
If you think there’s an error, please contact Customer Care.
Do my BE Points expire?
Yes. Your BE Points expire two (2) years from the day your My BE Account is last active.
A My BE Account is considered “active” if there has been at least 1 order placed or qualifying activity that has constituted in earning BE Points. Therefore,
if your My BE Account is considered “inactive” your Available BE Points will be forfeited.
When I return a product, how are my BE Points affected?
If you return a product within the pending period of 30 days from ship date for domestic US shipments or 45 days for international shipments,
you will not earn the points for the product returned. However,
if you returned the product after the pending period we may forfeit your earned BE Points.
What if I return a product where I have earned and redeemed BE Points?
Returns must be made within the pending period.

Can I earn BE Points and redeem BE Perks on the same purchase?
You cannot earn BE Points when redeeming BE Perks on the same purchase.
For example, if the total of your order is $50 and you use $10 BE Perks, you will only receive 40 BE Points.
