    I get my hair professionally colored, but between visits, I touch up my own roots. You need to have the tools (a bowl, an applicator brush)and for me- I don't even need to do the whole head- just those areas that show, like the hairline, the part, the temples, etc. You have to know what you're doing (or at least you need to know your formula), but if so- the results are great!
