Introduced in 1977 by the House of Yves Saint Laurent, Opium is a bewitching melange of sweet oriental woods, spices and incense. A fragrance so seductive and sensual, it is recommended for special occasions. Fragrance composition includes: plum, coriander, pepper, clove, hespirade, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, cinnamon, peach, sandalwood, patchouli, musk, incense and amber.

    This has been "the perfume" for my mom. She gets a bottle every Christmas (amoung other brands) and uses this one the most. Everyone asks what she is wearing. And Beauty Encounter is the only place we buy it from. They are FANTASTIC !!!!

    Mmm, as intoxicating as the name would have you believe. Despite the fact that my mother wore this sometimes when I was growing up, this scent is anything but maternal! So sexy, soft and foreign without making your nose wrinkle, Opium is a dream to wear. I recommend going with the EDP and wearing sparingly for day so you don't drive all the men in your office wild. :) Opium is a true classic and it lasts me forever. When I need a new bottle I am coming here. For the truly delicate, the EDT or Legere is always an option... but why not go bold if you are going to wear something this marvelous?

    Opium is a classic, deeply spicy and wonderfully exotic. None of the greenish scent that makes you sneeze! It smells expensive, it is expensive, and you deserve it. Plus purchased from this store it is less than the big-name mall stores and gets to you in 2-3 days at regular shipping price. Excellent on all levels!
