 Review of La Mer Creme de La Mer The Moisturizing Cream

I was impressed about everything I've read and learned from a friend who has used this product in big expensive jars, for several years. She purchases from fine department stores, I might note. When I received my promo/travel size LeMer product, so anxious to try out my friend's highly recommended cream, I was very disappointed with the cream which seemed stiff, like schoolhouse white paste. I warmed it in my fingertips as the LeMer website suggests, before applying to my face. I patted it in and was disappointed that it really didn't absorb as the tutorial said it would. I called Beauty Encounter-two messages-not returned- one email-not answered- and finally, I reached a rep who seemed to know what she was doing. She said the cream, according to the code, was a recent product, not too old and outdated, and it should be working as specified. Again, I was disappointed that, since I was dissatisfied with the product, they wouldn't hear of a return for credit because as she said" It was a product that had been used". Well, two swipes of the cream to find out if it was a good product, in my opinion, is not using a product. So, I'm stuck with a $30 promotional jar of LeMer which is a big disappointment to me as far as a face cream goes. I will not purchase skin creams, or anything, from BE again even tho' the customer service rep assured me the product is "authentic". Buyer beware!
