    Creed's Royal Oud is almost effervescent - its beautiful and amazing and draws you in. I feel sophisticated and erudite when I wear it... also unique and genteel. It is not a scent that challenges you... it pleasant and beautiful from the start... but I think it is the subtle oud that draws you in. I think a lot of the negative reviews I have seen are because people expect it to be a oud statement fragrance. The oud plays a role in drawing you in, but this is not an oud statement fragrance. This is a refined fragrance that is mature but not old and is perfect for me
