MANY SCENTS ARE OVERLY POTENT AND JOLTING TO THE SENSES. THIS ONE IS NOT OVERPOWERING, YET LASTS ALL DAY. IT'S VERY SOPHISTICATED, YET SOFTLY SWEET AND FEMININE. IT HAS A SUBTLE NOTE OF HONEYDEW MELON THAT MAKES IT SO PLEASING. HOWEVER I'M DEVASTATED TO FIND THAT IT APPEARS TO BE PHASING OUT AND IS NO LONGER READILY AVAILABLE IN STORES WHERE I'M ACCUSTOMED TO FINDING IT. CK One by Calvin Klein is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance refreshingly clean scent, suitable for both sexes. CK One was launched in 1994. CK One was created by Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont. It is a cheap fragrance for daily use fresh and little marine smell. Fresh and inviting, even thirteen years later. Very citrusy mixed with something greenish (mandarin orange, cedar) clean and familiar, like an old friend. The versatility for gender is perfectly neutral. Someone who is normally sensitive to smells would love this, as it does not smell like a fragrance but more like a clean shower and a bouquet of lovely flowers. I compare this to the Aqua di Gio, Cool Water, Eau Savage Krizia or Faconnable. I really like this for summer, its not strong or sweet and it doesn’t make anyone I know sick. It’s not a fragrance that will make you feel sexy or beautiful but just a nice clean simple summer scent that will make you feel fresh when it’s hot outside. Opening with notes of citruses, pineapple, green notes, mandarin orange, the composition develops into the heart of nutmeg, violet, orris root, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and rose, settling at the base of sandalwood, amber, musk, cedar and oakmoss.

I have come to the conclusion the there is quite a bit of fragrance snobbery when it comes to this house. Klein is dismissed by many for releasing, what seems to be, unsubstantial creations. While that may be true in part, it must be understood that any house releasing as many scents as this one has, will most assuredly disappoint a certain percentage.

I needed a scent that was light, clean, and airy...this fits the bill perfectly. You also get a ton of it for a fair price, I love that. I use it after showers and it last for hours, which is great! I would not change the product in anyway and it's definitely a great purchase for anyone needing an affordable scent that smells wonderful.
