Revlon was founded in 1932 with a single nail enamel product. By 1940 the company offered an entire manicure line, along with a lipstick collection. By the end of World War II, it was one of the top five cosmetic companies in the U.S. Revlon lipstick later expanded with Revlon Colorstay Lipstick as the first transfer-resistant lip color, and now includes Revlon LipGlide. The company brought the “American look” to the rest of the world through its models, and its products are now offered worldwide. Products such as Revlon foundation and Revlon Moisturestay Lipcolor have become mainstays of the cosmetics industry. Revlon’s vision is to provide glamour, excitement, and innovation through quality products at affordable prices, while working to raise money and awareness for women’s health issues.
